SolutionView 2.4.1 Release Notes
Winter 2025 Release
This release pushes SolutionView forward in a very real way, touching nearly every part of the platform—from how customers prepare for an appointment to how reps capture inspections, present solutions, build projects, and finalize documents. It introduces entirely new capabilities like Pre-Appointment customer pages, AI recording integrations, Room Scan and Surface Scan, a redesigned camera and photo workflow, upgraded presentations, a faster and more flexible Product Placement Tool, a redesigned product checklist, improved e-signing, and deeper CRM integrations. Altogether, it’s one of the most wide-ranging updates we’ve shipped, and it reshapes the user experience in ways teams will notice the moment they pick it up.

Customer Portal
Pre-Appointment and Confirmation Web Page
We have enhanced the functionality of the customer portal to now allow users to send a customized web page to the customer prior to the appointment. Upon configuration of the "Pre-Appointment" portal page, a dedicated button will be visible on the appointment screen or within the Send Customer Portal link workflow.
The web page received by the customer can be customized with various sections and content within the admin. Upon accessing this web page, the customer will only see the pre-appointment content, with any project-related content disabled until the appointment has commenced.

Integrations
On Device AI Recording Integrations
Have you heard about how contractors are using software such as Rilla or Siro to record appointment audio and then process that information to provide coaching to sales representatives? Many of our customers have started implementing this new technology at their companies and have observed that it helps reduce the time spent on the road, allowing them to provide coaching to more of their sales team.
We have now integrated with Rilla and Siro. Once configured in the admin, users will find a microphone icon in the 'Quick Nav' at the bottom of their appointment. This icon will open the configured app to begin recording their audio.

New CRM Integration with Vonigo
We have integrated with Vonigo as a CRM option for companies. Pull appointment data in for each of your sales reps, include customer contact details, and other appointment related fields. When the appointment is completed, project details, photos, and notes are all sent to Vonigo.

Improveit 360 Enhancement - Resulting for Service
For service-based teams, there’s a new option to include declined products as a quote when marking an appointment as sold. This allows charges for declined service items to still be included in the appointment result.
The setting is enabled in the meeting setup and can be configured for specific appointment types. Contact SolutionView Support to turn this on.
Meeting Inspection
Redesigned Camera
We have redesigned the camera utilized within the SolutionView Tablet. When taking photos, the camera will no longer reload, and users will also have the ability to preview all captured images before confirming by pressing "Done" in the bottom right. This enhancement provides a much smoother experience for users taking photos.

Add Photos Workflow
Upon capturing photos, there are newly designed screens that provide the user with tools for each photo, including the option to save to the camera roll, annotate photos, and edit the photo's title and description.

Alternative Sub-Area Type in Forms
We have implemented an enhancement to the inspection forms in SolutionView, introducing an additional sub-area type. Previously, sub-areas could only be created through the plus icon located in the bottom right of forms where sub-areas were enabled.
With the new enhancement, Sub-Areas can now be seen within the primary form area, in addition to the traditional sub-area type. While this scenario is uncommon, it can provide significant benefits to services offering similar products that may be situated in various areas, both large and small.
The configuration for this feature is advanced, and we strongly recommend seeking guidance from the SolutionView team for its implementation.

Customize Text in Form Editor ***
There has been an improvement in the functionality of sections within forms that are set to open as a separate screen. Now, a company has the ability to customize the text content that appears in the top right. By default, it now includes 'Done', but it can be configured to display custom text such as 'Add to Project'.

New Field Type - Presentation ***
We have implemented a new field type that allows for the opening of a configured presentation within a form. The presentation field can make use of two field types from within the form: the Take Photo Field or Customer Why. Furthermore, it is possible to assign presentations to appear as well.
Customize this field to craft a presentation that can have a significant impact when you have these forms open during an appointment.

Field Type: Display Photo Enhancement ***
Within a form, the field type 'Display Photo' is utilized to present an image. This field type now provides the functionality for a company to define the maximum width of the image.
As demonstrated in the example below, the image on the left lacks a maximum width, whereas the image on the right has its width limited to 300 pixels. This feature can assist companies in controlling content and ensuring more visibility.

Field Type: Content Block Enhancement ***
Within a form, the field type 'Content Block' is a way for companies to include video presentation that includes the functionality to send to the customer. This field type now includes an option to set the display to condensed. When this option is enabled, the content block uses much less vertical real estate and still includes the functionality to send to the customer with the share icon on the right side of the content block.

Customer Why Enhancements
We have improved the 'Customer Why' interface to better support companies that are assigning several to many field answers into this feature. In some cases, the customer interface card would take up too much of the screen, when the focus should remain on other content. To accommodate this, we included an expand or collapse icon near the title, and moved the edit option to the right side. Whether expanded or collapsed, the primary 'Customer Why' message will always be in view, with the collapsed state hiding the fields assigned to the customer interface.

Meeting Findings
Add Form to Findings within Meeting
The Findings section of an appointment has been improved to facilitate the assignment of a form by companies. In order to enable this feature, a company must possess a form they wish to assign, and then assign it within the available Meetings. Once a form has been assigned, an additional tab will appear in the Findings section, displaying the form's title. When the tab is selected, all the content from the form will be displayed and can be filled in by the user.

Meeting Presentation
Slideshow Presentation Display Type
The slideshow presentation has been upgraded to incorporate an additional display type. For use-cases such as before & after photos, process photos, etc., slideshows can now be presented similarly to the examples below. When this feature is activated, all photos will appear as thumbnails below the selected photo, facilitating a clearer understanding of the available images and making it easier to select and view them.

Appointment Send Workflow Enhancements
The workflow for delivering content to a customer's email or phone has been redesigned to enhance usability and incorporate additional functionality. This new design effectively showcases all contact details for each customer and also offers the capability to add extra email or phone numbers. When utilizing this workflow to send content, the title of the content will now be displayed in this updated design.

Presentation Follow-Up: Areas
A new follow-up option has been added to presentations that allows you to recommend a new form (area) to the customer. Once selected, this form (area) is added to the appointment so you can walk the customer through additional solutions without going back to the inspection.
This allows recommendations to a customer that weren't discovered during the inspection. Once added, the user will be able to present, add products, and review the area project without navigating back to the inspection.
Meeting Project
Project with Drawing View
Utilize the project drawing in conjunction with your customers to provide a visual representation of the project as you define its scope. The drawing will dynamically update to accurately reflect the proposed changes.
No additional configuration is required. Simply select the drawing icon in the quick navigation or within the project screen.

Product Dropdown within new Project with Drawing View
There is now new functionality that enables users to switch between similar products within a project. This feature will provide benefits to users with products installed in the same areas who require a convenient way to interchange styles or models.
As illustrated in the example image below, products suggested in different areas are displayed accordingly and include a dropdown menu for switching between various types and colors. When the drawing incorporates product artwork, the artwork is automatically updated along with the product specification and price.

Product Placement Tool
Speed
Users will find that the experience within the Product Placement Tool has been made to be smoother and snappier. We can't provide a screenshot to show it off, so you'll have to experience it yourself!
Product Checklist Redesign
We took a fresh look at the product checklist where all of your proposed products from your projects appear. Prior to this release, they were organized into a folder-like structure based on Areas and Subareas. Now, the products are organized by Area and Solution within one layout without any additional clicks. This will reduce clicks for the user and enable them to find and place products much quicker.

Preview Mode ***
When activated via the settings within the placement tool, users will experience a picture-in-picture-like feature while drawing. This allows for a more magnified view of the objects being placed, with a preview box in the top left or right. Additionally, and potentially more impactful, it provides the ability to see what is below the finger or stylus.

Room Scan ***
We've introduced functionality utilizing Apple's RoomScan and LiDar functionality to allow users to scan a room. After scanning a room, the walls, doors, and windows will be included within the product placement tool as artwork. From there, a user has the ability to tweak any of the artwork, as necessary.
To enable this feature, you must enable within the Drawing Tool Setup within the admin. Also, this feature will only be available on iPad Pros, due to the LiDar hardware requirement.

Scan Surface ***
We've introduced functionality utilizing Apple's LiDar functionality to allow users to scan a surface and plot points. After scanning a surface, the connected dots will create an outline that is imported into the placement tool as artwork. From there, a user has the ability to tweak any of the artwork, as necessary.
To enable this feature, you must enable within the Drawing Tool Setup within the admin. Also, this feature will only be available on iPad Pros, due to the LiDar hardware requirement.

Meeting Complete
E-Sign Enhancements
We’ve improved the document signing experience to make it smoother and more intuitive for both field reps and customers.
- Scrolling through a document is smoother and always scrollable.
- You can toggle between full width and full height views using the icon in the top right.
- Updated buttons and experience to make user actions more clear.
- When entering a signature or initial, it now saves your input for quicker use on the next field. You can also easily redo a signature or initial if needed.
- All in all, the signing experience is now faster, clearer, and more efficient.

Customer Signed-in Portal
When reopening a previous appointment, SolutionView now checks whether a customer signed and approved a project through the Customer Portal.
If a signature is detected, the Complete Appointment screen will now present options. The user will be asked if they want to open the admin to include their signature and send it to the CRM, or remove the customer signature to modify the proposal that was previously sent to the CRM.

Specifications Enhancements
Before this release, the Customer Will and Contractor Will sections would be expanded when a user entered the Specifications area. In this release, we have addressed this and ensured that each section is closed to make it easier to view all the options available within Specifications.
Additionally, we have updated the design within this screen to make selected details to appear more prominently.

SolutionView Menu
Preview Mode
Want to test your admin changes before going live? Preview Mode lets you do just that.
When enabled per user in the admin settings, a new option in the menu appears in the app allowing you to open an appointment using your current admin configuration. Great for reviewing pricing, forms, or presentation updates before publishing to your team.

Manual Appointments Screen Enhancements
New controls have been added to the Manual Appointments screen.
You can now search for appointments, sort them, and delete one or multiple appointments directly from the screen.

SolutionView Meetings
Appointment Navigation Configuration
You now have more control over the left-hand navigation inside an appointment.
Admins can configure the order of sections or hide sections altogether depending on the meeting type.
