SolutionView 2.4.8 Release Notes

SolutionView 2.4.8 is here with meaningful improvements across appointments, drawing tools, AI Visualization, project PDFs, camera/photo workflows, and overall app polish.

This release puts a heavy focus on making the drawing experience clearer and more powerful, while continuing to improve the customer experience before, during, and after the appointment.

Here’s what’s new in version 2.4.8

Appointments

Customer History

Customer History now includes additional customer details from appointment data connected through improveit 360, giving users more context when preparing for and running appointments.

Manual Appointments

We’ve improved Manual Appointments with additional checks to help ensure appointments created manually work as expected.

Drawing

Drawing Screen

The Drawing screen has a refreshed layout that makes Create Drawing the primary action while keeping the rest of the drawing functionality available in a cleaner experience.

Surface Scan

Surface Scan has been enhanced with tighter on-screen guidance during capture and improvements aimed at better data accuracy.

Smart Guides

Artwork will now snap to vertices from other artwork already in the drawing. As users lay out walls or product artwork, guides appear when objects align with visible vertices.

Product Area Fill

Area-based products now include a faster placement option. A new bucket icon appears in the drawing product list, allowing users to tap inside enclosed areas and automatically fill them with the selected product. After placement, users can still make adjustments.

Continue Path

Line paths and wall paths can now be extended from the selected object. Select the object, open the object settings in the bottom left, choose More, then Continue to add additional vertices.

Multi-Selection

Multi-Selection has received additional polish to make it clearer what is being selected while keeping only the most important elements in view. Reps can select several objects at once and measure the distances between them — a quick way to show spacing and layout during a walkthrough.

Long Press

Long press actions have been refined. Long pressing on a line now allows users to add additional vertices or delete previously placed vertices.

Steadier pinch, zoom & vertex placement

Pinching and scrolling no longer grab objects by accident, and points added to a line sit cleanly on it. Less fiddling, more accurate drawings.

Square footage on wall & line paths

Wall and line paths now surface square-footage detail, making it easier for a rep to talk measurements through with the customer.

AI Visualization

Activation

Companies can now activate access to the AI Visualization tool. This tool will be free to use for a limited time. Please contact the SolutionView team for activation steps.

Polish

We’ve continued improving the screens used for AI Visualization to provide a better overall experience.

Project PDFs

Hidden Products

Products used for Project Minimums will no longer appear in the My Project section of the PDF when those products are marked as hidden from the customer.

Camera & Photo Enhancements

Camera

The in-app camera has been refined to provide a better experience for users.

Photos

We’ve increased the number of photos that can be added at one time. Reps can also pull down all photos at once, and the multi-image picker is smoother to work with — speeding up how quickly job photos get attached.

Photos Retained when Inspection Form is Removed

Photos tied to an inspection area that was later removed stay viewable, so no documentation gets lost.

UI/UX Improvements

Rilla / Siro

The microphone icon has been removed from Quick Nav. Siro and Rilla actions are now available within Details & Resources.

Start Meeting

The Select Configuration workflow now includes counts and an improved selection experience, making it easier for companies with many meeting types, pricing lists, or pre-appointment resources.

AI Images in Findings

An AI tab is now available in Findings and the left navigation, putting AI-assisted tools right where reps review inspection results.

Refreshed Findings tabs

The tabs in Findings have a cleaner, modern look that's easier to navigate during a review with the customer.

New Organize button

The Organize control in Findings has been updated to a clearer, more tappable button.

Additional Enhancements

We’ve continued improving several areas and screens throughout the app.

Projects & Proposals

Project Minimum Line Item in Contract PDFs

When a project minimum is included in appointment settings, the product line item was appearing the Contract PDF at all times. Now, if that product is set to be hidden from the customer it will not appear in the Contract PDF.

Default values for numeric fields within Forms.

Numeric fields can carry sensible default values, cutting down on manual entry during an appointment.

Solution selection in presentations

Reps can choose solutions and pull them straight into a presentation, making it easier to tailor the pitch on the spot. This flow is enabled or disabled with a switch on the meeting setup.

Projects can surface recommended solutions, helping reps steer the homeowner toward the right option. This flow is enabled or disabled with a switch on the meeting setup.

View details with live pricing

A 'View Details' toggle now appears in the single project view. The toggle can be defaulted on or off. When the toggle is enabled, it shows pricing. This flow is enabled or disabled with a switch on the meeting setup.

Project Comparison Restrictions

Companies can now limit the number of comparisons that can be displayed in the comparison screen. It can now be limited to a max of two projects if desired. This is enabled or disabled with a switch on the meeting setup.

Financing updates

Improvements to financing make payment options easier to present and work through with the customer.

Refinements

Reliable exit from manual meetings

Exiting a manually created meeting now works cleanly without getting stuck on a 'Saving…' screen, so reps move straight on to the next appointment.

Sturdier manual appointments

Manual appointments have been hardened against edge cases, so reps can count on them behaving like scheduled ones.

Cleaner Start Meeting screen

The Start Meeting sheet sizes and spaces its steps correctly and scrolls when needed, so nothing gets cut off on any device.

Clear appointments from the calendar

Reps can now clear an appointment directly from the calendar page, and the meeting screen adapts better to narrower devices.

Fixes

We’ve continued monitoring errors captured through our reporting systems and have implemented fixes aimed at resolving issues identified in those systems.
