SolutionView 2.5.0 Release Notes
SolutionView 2.5.0 is here with meaningful improvements across drawing tools, the Start Meeting experience, projects & proposals, syncing and downloads, and in-meeting screens.
This release puts a heavy focus on making the drawing experience clearer and more powerful, while continuing to improve the customer experience before, during, and after the appointment.
Here’s what’s new in version 2.5.0:
Calendar
Menus close when they should
Improvements to how side menus and overlays close on the calendar and inside meetings, so reps don’t end up with a menu stuck open over their screen.
Downloads & Sync
Download resources mid-meeting
Fixed an issue with downloading resources while already in a meeting. If a rep starts an appointment before everything has synced, resources can now be pulled down from inside the meeting without a hiccup.
Appointment data protected in edge-case flows
Added safeguards for rare situations where an appointment’s details could get lost between screens, which could interfere with saving and syncing. Meetings started through less common paths now save and send reliably.
Meeting Home & Start Meeting
Memory improvements and job minimums
Reduced memory usage on the meeting home screen — important for companies with very large configurations — along with updates to how job minimums are handled.
Config selection resets when it should
The app no longer silently reuses a previously selected configuration when it shouldn’t. Reps get a fresh configuration choice in the flows where reusing the old one could cause confusion.
Styling Enhancements
A collection of visual refinements in this area — updated styling, cleaner layouts, and general polish. Nothing changes in how it works; it just looks better.
Inspection Form
Tidier measurement values in form fields
Numeric fields no longer display long trailing decimals (e.g. 12.3333333). Values are shown at a sensible precision in inspection forms and sell-from-drawing inputs, so what the customer sees looks clean.
More dependable choice fields
The app now keeps better track of exactly which option a rep picked in a form — even when options have similar names. Selections save and restore correctly, and the right products come through every time.
Drawing — Measurements & Display
Measurement Display Control with built-in help
A new help dialog (with a header help icon) explains the measurement system, display, and precision settings. Those controls now live under Show Measurements — and hide when measurements are off — with clearer imperial/metric rounding descriptions in the precision dropdown.
Help text for measurement precision
Added in-context help on the precision setting so reps understand exactly how measurement labels will round.
Heads-up warnings before a drawing slows down
Very dense drawings can slow older tablets down. The canvas now shows a friendly warning when a drawing is getting heavy, and the Measurement Display Control warns when lots of measurements are selected — and showing advanced measurements no longer forces the whole canvas into a slower mode.
Advanced Measurement selections saved with the drawing
Advanced Measurement Display choices now persist. Which measurements a rep chose to show is saved into the drawing and restored when it’s reopened.
Fewer measurement labels hidden unnecessarily
Measurement labels that used to disappear in tight spots on the drawing now stay visible more often, so reps can keep talking measurements without zooming in.
A cleaner, smarter product Legend
The drawing Legend got a styling and behavior upgrade: it now lives in the Dynamic Shapes tool group, has a refreshed look, wraps products into extra columns when space is tight, shows “Product(s) Not In View” when it can’t fit everything, and adds product visibility controls in Legend settings.
Snappier measurement buttons and easier scale placement
The ALL and CLEAR buttons in the measurement controls now respond the instant they’re tapped — noticeably quicker on iPad. Placing a measure scale is easier too: the endpoints drag directly and ignore grid snapping, so the scale line lands exactly where the rep wants it.
Measurement enhancements
A round of improvements to how measurements are calculated and displayed on the canvas.
Advanced measurement refinements, mirror & flip
Refinements to the Advanced Measurement System plus new mirror/flip options for artwork, with general cleanup.
Show or hide measurements per object
Reps can now control exactly which measurements appear on the drawing — globally or object by object, right from the Style panel, including for several selected objects at once (with a confirmation summary of what’s changing). Built-in help explains the Global / Show / Hide options.
Drawing — Walls & Paths
Wall tools available by default
The Wall tool and Wall Host Element tool now show up for everyone by default (companies can still turn them off in settings), and the Foundation wall preset default changed from 10 inches to 8 inches.
Wall-line-path layer lock fix
Fixed a bug where wall line paths could be affected by layer locking incorrectly, so locked layers behave the way reps expect.
Smarter wall area fills and measurements
Filled areas inside walls now stop at the inside wall edge instead of counting to the wall centerline — more accurate square footage for products. Also keeps the last-segment measurement visible when a wall path closes back on its first point.
Wall-line-path selection fix
Parts of a wall could still be selected even when the wall tool was switched off for your company. Wall lines now only respond to taps when the tool is actually enabled.
Rectangle and wall-line-path fixes
Fixes for rectangle objects and wall line paths, improving how they draw and edit on the canvas.
Drawing — Drawing & Editing Tools
Snap setting remembered per drawing
Fixed a bug where the snap setting wasn’t being remembered at the project/drawing level — reps’ snap preference now sticks with each drawing.
Clearer camera selection on the drawing
Selecting a camera placed on the drawing is now a two-step flow: the first tap selects it and shows just its outline, tapping away deselects it, and a separate View action opens the photo viewer — so reps don’t accidentally open photos while working the canvas.
Removing points from a line works reliably
Fixed an issue with removing points from a drawn line, so long-pressing a line to adjust it works dependably.
Smart Guides back on the scan canvas
Smart Guide alignment was re-enabled on the scan canvas, so artwork snaps into alignment with points on other artwork while laying out a scanned space — matching the behavior highlighted in 2.4.8.
Smart Guide fix
Fixed a Smart Guide issue so alignment guides appear when they should while laying out artwork.
More accurate finger drawing
Drawing with a finger now stays accurate — lines land where reps tap, no matter the zoom level.
Styling Enhancements
A collection of visual refinements in this area — updated styling, cleaner layouts, and general polish. Nothing changes in how it works; it just looks better.
Drawing — Scan & Capture
Surface Map and Walker scan support
The scan tools now support Surface Map / surface scans and Walker scans, converting what’s captured into editable lines on the drawing — so a scan of the space becomes a working drawing. Room, surface, and walker scans are combined into one scanning flow, and new scans can be added onto an existing drawing without losing what’s already there.
Project Drawing View (Sell Off the Drawing)
Camera placement
When using the camera placement in the drawing tool and attaching one or more images, you can now press that camera in the project drawing view and cycle through the images taken in a slideshow view.
Sell from Drawing pricing refresh and presentation editor
A bundle of improvements to selling off the drawing: prices update live as the drawing changes, dropdown selections show the values reps chose, the recommended drawing stays out of the project PDF when it isn’t included, and the presentation editor got improvements.
AI Visualizer
More reliable visualization uploads
Reworked how visualization images are uploaded so they’re more compatible and fail less often, with clearer error handling when something does go wrong — fewer stalled visualizations in the field.
Styling Enhancements
A collection of visual refinements in this area — updated styling, cleaner layouts, and general polish. Nothing changes in how it works; it just looks better.
Presentations
Present findings in a dedicated modal
A new findings presentation modal lets reps pull inspection findings straight into the presentation flow — an easier way to walk the homeowner through what was found before showing solutions.
Shared Meeting Components
Tiered Pricing modal scrolls properly
Fixed a scrolling issue in the Tiered Pricing modal so all tiers are reachable, along with a couple of behind-the-scenes warnings in the footer.
Create Drawing refinement
A small improvement to the create-drawing flow inside meetings, smoothing out how new drawings get started.
Proposals
Smoother access to older proposals
Improved how previously created proposals are downloaded, so pulling up an old proposal for a returning customer is quicker and more dependable.
Project Completion & PDFs
Complete-meeting modal improvements
Updates to the modal reps see when completing a meeting, smoothing out the final steps between wrapping up with the customer and sending the project.
Recommended drawing refinements
Follow-up tweaks to the recommended drawing feature along with a core API update, improving how the recommended drawing flows into the completed project.
Recommended drawing at completion
Projects can now carry a recommended drawing through the completion flow, helping steer the homeowner toward the right option with a visual.
Refinements — Platform & Stability
Improved stability on older iPads
Removed Sentry session replays, which were contributing to memory pressure — especially on older iPads. Reps on aging hardware should see fewer memory-related crashes.
Faster saves for big proposals
Large proposals — especially ones with lots of photos — now save faster and use less of the device’s memory, so big jobs don’t bog the app down.
E-sign update
Updated the e-signature integration along with an Expo fix, keeping contract signing running smoothly.
Android grey screen fix
Fixed an issue where Android users could hit a grey screen, getting them back into the app instead of staring at a blank view.
