Product & Material Features

Product features include categories, properties, and warranties. These features are maintained in the product features area within the admin. To assign the features you've created, do so in the product editor.

The features area in the admin, as seen below, is where you can maintain the features.

Feature Types

1. Categories allow you to assign a one or more categories to each product. When adding products in SolutionView, you will have the ability to filter products by category. Categories are assigned to products in the product editor.  Learn more about customizing product categories: update link

2. Properties can be used to assign unique product attributes to each product. Properties can be set up to be a list of options like color, a numerical value, or a yes/no value. When adding products in SolutionView, you will have the ability to filter products by properties. Properties are assigned to products in the product editor.

3. Warranties are able to be created and assigned to each product. When a product is added to a project, any warranty language associated to the product will be printed with the contract PDF. One or more warranties can be assigned to an individual product in the product editor.
